Should I have that bumper checked out after a small accident or little fender bender?

If you were involved in small accident or little fender bender, you may not think that repairing or replacing a bumper is very important. However, it is. There could be some issues going on with the frame underneath. Removing the bumper to repair or replace it allows a technician to get a good look at it and determine if you need additional repairs to your vehicle that may have otherwise gone undetected. Even the smallest of accidents can cause a big impact on your vehicle.
Many times we don't think about what's going on underneath our vehicle. Remember this is the main support that holds your automobile all together. Without it being strong enough to support the weight of vehicle, it will eventually all fall apart.
Now is a good time to have someone take a look. If you need any repairs we would more than happy to take a look. Contact A-1 Welding in Willis, Texas for a estimate today.
We are your #1 solution for all your Welding & Fabricating needs
We Look Forward To Working With You!!!

Here's a little of History on Labor Day we wanted to share with you!!

Labor Day in the United States Of America is a public holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September. It honors the American Labor Movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws, and well-being of the country.
It is the Monday of the long weekend known as Labor Day Weekend
and is recognized as a Federal Holiday.

Beginning in the late 19th century, as the trade union and labor movements grew, trade unionists proposed that a day be set aside to celebrate labor. "Labor Day" was promoted by the Central Labor Union and the Knights of Labor, which organized the first parade in New York City. In 1887, Oregon was the first state of the United States to make it an official public holiday. By the time it became an official Federal Holiday in 1894, thirty states in the United States officially
celebrated Labor Day.

Canada's Labour Day is also celebrated on the first Monday of September. More than 80 countries celebrate International Workers Day on May 1, and several countries have chosen their own dates for Labour Day. May 1 was chosen by a pan-national organization of socialists and communist  political parties to commemorate the general strike and events that took place around the Haymarket Affair, which occurred in Chicago on May 1 through 4, 1886.

How to Clean, Restore, & Repaint A Firepit

A fire pit is a great addition to any back yard because it provides a convenient place for family members and friends to come together, even on a cool evening. Unfortunately a large number of outdoor fire pits are manufactured with metal that eventually rusts. Using some simple techniques you can remove the rust and help prevent it from happening again.

Here are some tips to getting your pit looking good as new.

Take a strong wire brush and give the firepit a good scrubbing,
removing all the rust flakes and powder.
Spray some vinegar on pit and let it set awhile, longer for thicker rust spots.
The vinegar reacts with the rust to dissolve it off the metal.
Also its safe to breath and good for the environment
Wire brush again and rinse with warm water.
Let dry completely
Now you are ready to paint
From your local hardware store you can find a rust preventative spray paint.
Rustoleum makes a specialty spray paint for high heat,
which comes in several different colors
Make sure to follow all directions on back of the can

While cleaning your pit if you notice your pit has rusted
spots or your pit is just too far gone to restore?
We can help you with that.
We do all types of pit restorations
We also build custom Firepits and Grills
Brochures with prices available upon request
Don't see what you want? That's ok, we can build a pit based on your needs

Did You Know A Trailer Hitch Can Wear Out?

Overtime a trailer hitch can slip off the ball of your
vehicle due to wear from to much towing.
This can cause serious damages to both your vehicle and

trailer. To prevent this from happening you need to
check out your hitch underneath tongue of trailer,
the coupler or kingpin for fatigue, damage,
cracks or missing parts before towing.
Following these basic precautions will help keep you
safe while pulling your trailer.
